Job Summary

This position will primarily be responsible for developing and supporting sales strategies for the commodity marketing business. This position will also lead customer analytics efforts to analyze the commodity marketing business performance and support the overall initiative to improve analytics tools. This role will manage, develop, implement, and track progress on strategic initiatives to profitably grow and sustain the commodity marketing business.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and support sales strategies and process improvements for the commodity marketing business.  Be the primary liaison between the Sales, Marketing, Supply, and IT teams to analyze and develop new products and solutions for customers and evaluate customer opportunities in current markets and potential new markets.
  • Lead customer analytics efforts to analyze the retail commodity marketing business performance and support the overall initiative to improve analytics tools as it relates to retail customer volumes and pricing.  Develop and present ideas to improve customer analytics and work with stakeholders to successfully implement them with minimal supervision.
  • Lead efforts to provide efficient and effective customer service to our large C&I customers by being the liaison between the Sales, LDC Logistics, Billing, Credit, and Collections teams to assist in resolving complex customer inquiries.  Support the Sales team in maintaining and updating deal information, and work with stakeholders to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our sales processes and the related customer experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong PC and MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational & analytical abilities and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. 
  • Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree but preferably a Master’s degree.
  • 5+ years' experience.
  • Natural gas/commodity experience preferred.
