Job Summary
This position is hybrid with 3 days a week in the office in Wyomissing, PA.
The Senior Analyst Financial Planning - Operations is a business partner who develops an understanding of one or several Company business segments and presents risks, opportunities and recommendations. The analyst leads individual processes within the Company’s overall financial resource planning and in analysis of actual results against the plan. This role will have primary responsibility for leading one or several forecasting and budgeting components which can include margin, operating expenses, capital expenditures and communicating variance drivers to support business decisions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- For the business segments or planning components responsible for, independently prepare forecasts, budgets, operating statistics and/or related analysis. This includes loading and retrieving data from the Hyperion system for business segment or Corporate use.
- Analyze, prepare and summarize actual results and recommendations for financial plans, forecasts, margin, expenses and capital expenditures.
- Develop detailed financial analysis and provide key financial information and analysis in support of executive management decision making and strategy.
- Prepare monthly & quarterly presentations of financial and business results for senior leadership or other departments as needed.
- Participate in special projects and analysis, including collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong financial analysis, reporting and planning knowledge, strong modeling skills, and associated advanced excel skills
- Proven ability to plan, organize and prioritize own workload to ensure deadlines are met
- Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
- Understanding of financial statements and the interaction between the P&L, B/S and cash flow.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Data Science/Analytics preferred.
- 5+ years of related finance or accounting experience
- MBA, CMA, CPA or CTP a plus
- Knowledge of Hyperion Planning/PBCS, experience with Smartview, Advanced Excel skills, and good knowledge of Alteryx (a plus)
