Overview: This position within the Energy Services Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team is highly visible in the organization and provides a great opportunity to support a business that operates across a large spectrum of the energy industry. The FP&A department partners with business line leadership and helps guide executive level decisions through thoughtful analysis and financial guidance.  This position will play a key role in helping to transform and increase the maturity of the planning function in order to meet the increased demands of the business due to growth and changing technology. Change orientation, analytical skills, cross-functional inter-personal skills and the ability to think strategically about business trends and financial needs are critical to this role.


The Manager of FP&A’s primary responsibilities include leading all Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow forecasting. The position will manage balance sheet and cash flow modeling as well as support the Sr. Director in the review of investment models from the Business Development group. This role will play a leadership role in the automation of many manual FP&A processes and will increase the level of detail in the Company’s planning and performance reporting (i.e. additional accounts and departments).


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the weekly, monthly, and annual Income Statement forecast process
  • Lead the monthly and annual Balance Sheet and Cash Flow forecast process including long-range capital spending forecasts
  • Manage the mapping and development of a more detailed company budget in SAP and eventually in Hyperion Planning
  • Lead supplemental financial statement creation for external partners
  • Support the requirements for the Corporate Capital Committee including supporting the Sr Director with the review of financial models developed by Business Development
  • Manage and develop the department’s Senior Financial Analyst
  • Act as the Finance department’s Business Analytics lead utilizing the Company’s analytics tools (Tableau, HANA, etc)
  • Be the Energy Services Hyperion Planning liaison with Corporate administrators
  • Other special ad-hoc analysis projects as needed


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong analytic abilities and financial statement acumen
  • Financial modelling experience
  • Excellent cross-functional inter-personal skills
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational and priority-setting skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Expert in Excel
  • Experience with Tableau a plus


Education and Experience Required:

  • BS in Finance or related field
  • At least 7 – 10 years of experience in Financial Analysis positions of increasing responsibility
  • MBA, CPA or CFA required
