Job Summary

Assist with all aspects of developing and maintaining the instrumentation and controls (I&C) at the UGI Energy Services, LLC (UGIES) facilities, including LPG plants, compressor stations, M&R stations,  LNG facilities,  etc.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Incorporates safe behavior into all activities and complies with all established safety and health policies and procedures.
  • Complete required periodic transmitter calibrations at all facilities, including pressure, temperature, gas detection, fire detection, etc.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and documentation associated with periodic transmitter calibrations.
  • Troubleshoot PLC and HMI issues, including communications, databasing, PLC configuration, etc.
  • Develop or modify HMI displays and trend displays as needed.
  • Assist with basic programming maintenance, including debugging, modification of existing loads, build and download to PLC, etc.
  • Develop and/or modify UGIES SCADA systems.
  • Provide I&C technical assistance to other UGIES Operators and Technicians.
  • Ability to work overtime and on call-out when needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience with ControiWave Micro, Allen Bradley, and Open Enterprise systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and controls, including transmitters, PLCs, HMis, etc
  • Professional, reliable, self-directing work habits.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other MS software.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
  • Good interpersonal and written communication skills

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Related technical / mechanical degree is desired.
  • At least 5 years of industry related experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
