Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for the development of project scopes, designs, and construction in the New Middletown, OH area. This person is responsible for development of maintenance, completion of engineering projects, contractor meetings, and various other aspects of Project Management. This hybrid position can be based in either Wyomissing, PA or Canonsburg, PA.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development of project scopes, designs, construction specifications and cost estimates, project milestones and timelines.
- Communicate PMO goals, methodology, process, and principles to project stake holders.
- Responsible for the development, execution, and ongoing maintenance of the Project Management Plan for each assigned project.
- Responsible for maintaining schedule, cost, quality, resource, issues, risks, change control and contractor management plans.
- Accountable for the successful completion of engineering projects.
- Participating in client/contractor meetings and resolving client/engineering and management project issues.
- Manage and grow relationships with various prospects, vendors, and partners.
- Interaction and coordination of third-party vendors (e.g., carriers, equipment manufacturers, service providers) and consultants to develop customer solutions.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of PMO methodology.
- Strong PC skills (proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access).
- Strong attention to detail, follow-through, resourcefulness, and ability to prioritize.
- A quick learner and comfortable working with tight deadlines and urgent requests.
- Able to develop good rapport and relationships cross-functionally.
- Professional, reliable, and self-directing work habits.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy or in a related field.
- At least 8 – 10 years as a Project Manager or Consultant.
- Project Management certificate, preferred.
- SAP experience, a plus
