OVERVIEW:  The Supervisor of Gas Supply Pipeline Logistics is responsible for overseeing the coordination of all natural gas interstate and midstream pipeline transportation activities.  Through the supervision of the Gas Supply Pipeline Logistics team, the Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the review and interpretation of all pipeline notices and tariffs, gas supply nominations for retail and wholesale customers, maintenance of capacity tracking tools, and implementation of process improvement ideas to maximize profits. 


  • Direct supervision of Gas Supply Pipeline Logistics employees responsible for the execution of all natural gas interstate and midstream pipeline transportation activities, including the following:
    • Review and communicate pipeline notices and tariff rules for 17 interstate and 7 midstream pipelines to all members of the Gas Supply team, in order to prevent pipeline penalties.
    • Nominate natural gas supplies to both retail and wholesale customers, from production area to market area, on the pipeline websites by NAESB specific deadlines.
    • Optimize firm transportation and storage assets on a daily basis by scheduling supplies in the most cost-effective manner, while adhering to pipeline restrictions.
    • Work closely with the physical gas Trading and LDC Logistics teams to identify market opportunities to maximize profits.
    • Communicate nomination cuts to the Gas Supply team; provide viable solutions for resolving issues, most notably pipeline constraints.
    • Track daily open pipeline capacity and scheduling in capacity sheets, as well as Gastar, while reflecting any supply cuts. Offer tools to monitor supply and demand positions accurately and efficiently.
    • Prepare monthly closeout of pipeline activities  via pipeline invoice verification. Ensure Gastar and pipeline scheduling tie out.
    • Participate in on call scheduling activities. Monitor nominations and pipeline conditions for all assets.
  • Perform monthly forecasting and accruals for pipeline charges.
  • Review and approve pipeline invoices, verified by staff.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with pipeline representatives and supply counterparties.
  • Onboard and train new employees, to accurately execute all natural gas scheduling activities listed above.
  • Establish goals and hold regular check-in meetings with staff. Provide constructive feedback, coaching and cross training, necessary for employee growth.
  • Backup pipeline scheduling duties, as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Energy, Business, Engineering, or other related fields. Master of Business Administration degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of natural gas scheduling experience, or other related industry experience required.
