Job Summary

Below is a list of duties and responsibilities that a Maintenance Technician will be asked to perform on UGIES existing and future compressor stations. Currently work will be performed at Big Pine CS, Renick CS, Gibraltar CS, Hickory Bend, and Majorsville CS, as well as occasional work at multiple M&R stations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works well as a team member engaged in the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of various compressor station equipment.
  • Dismantle, inspect, repair, and reassemble all types of equipment.
  • Cleans parts, checks for wear, reconditions, and repairs or replaces all types of engine and compressor parts.
  • Realign and assemble mechanical equipment, start, check, and adjust for proper operations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections on operating equipment. Complete compressor station duties such as start start/stopping the units, as well as work on dehy units.
  • Support Compressor Operations with any projects and troubleshooting of equipment when needed.
  • Monitor and keep a sufficient Parts Inventory needed for PM’s and all other maintenance and operations work.
  • Track and keep electronic records of all maintenance performed.
  • Perform station maintenance as needed, including but not limited to emissions checks and calibrations, PRV Testing, annual compressor inspections and 3516B PM’s and repairs.
  • May be asked to mentor other employees based on your degree of gas compression knowledge.
  • Provide technical assistance to operations during and after normal business hours.
  • Assist as needed with filling in for operator callouts, vacation/personal/sick time and so forth.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent
