Job Summary
The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for executing electrical and mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the SSB (Synthica St. Bernard) organic waste RNG facility.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain equipment such as pumps, motors, compressors, and conveyors
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment histories in the CMMS (computerized maintenance management system)
- Ensure all work complies with company, project, and regulatory safety requirements, participate in safety audits and inspections
- Hands on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of pumps, motors, compressors, conveyors and other mechanical systems
- Access the tops of tanks to perform routine maintenance
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on anaerobic digesters, including agitators, mixers, heating systems, and associated piping and valves

- Inspect, troubleshoot, and service flare systems to ensure reliable operation and compliance with environmental and safety regulations
- Diagnose electrical faults using meters, schematics, and SCADA systems
- Support and maintain PLC/HMI/SCADA systems used in anaerobic digestion, gas upgrading, and wastewater treatment operations
- Calibrate and troubleshoot field instrumentation including flow meters, level transmitters, pressure transmitters, gas analyzers, and pH/ORP/DO/conductivity probes
- Maintain electrical and controls infrastructure supporting DAF systems, aeration systems, clarifiers, dewatering equipment, polymer systems, lift stations, and process pumps
- Follow all NFPA 70/70E, NEC, OSHA regulations, and arc flash and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Review electrical drawings, P&IDs; and one-line diagrams for accuracy and field implementation
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of electrical systems including controls and automation
- Working knowledge of rotating equipment, pumps, compressors, and mechanical systems typical of RNG or biogas facilities
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Computer skills such as Microsoft office, CMMS, and SAP
- Background in RNG, oil & gas, or waste treatment facilities preferred
- Industrial electrical systems (480V/3-phase and higher)
- SCADA/HMI systems
Education and Experience
- Degree or technical certification in Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation preferred
- 5+ years in E&I, automation, or controls

The pay for this position ranges from $54,000.00 to 72,100.00, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation includes eligibility to earn a performance-based bonus or commissions on completed sales.
