Job Summary:
The Delivery Representative - Cylinder is a key point of contact for customers.  They are dedicated and responsible people that can excel in a fast-paced work environment and possess exceptional people skills.  The Delivery Rep is assigned to a large cylinder truck and delivers cylinders of various sizes and picks up empty cylinders.  Cylinders are delivered to primarily industrial customers on a flatbed truck that may be equipped with a lift gate to assist with loading and unloading cylinders. The Delivery Representative – Cylinder performs all daily functions in a safe manner by adhering to all federal and state codes and regulations, in addition to all Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures while utilizing all Personal Protective Equipment.

 

Education and Experience Required:
•    At least 21 years old with a valid CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements
•    Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions
•    Lifting, pushing, pulling, bending and climbing in and out of the truck

•    Drive a flatbed delivery truck to customer sites and deliver cylinders of various sizes
•    Assist with customary district maintenance/housekeeping and other duties as assigned such as repairing and re-qualifying cylinders, yard work, etc.
•    Fill and load cylinders as required.
•    Performs all daily functions in a safe manner by adhering to all federal and state codes and regulations, in addition to all AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures; utilizing all Personal Protective Equipment; 
•    Proactively identifies and reports safety concerns and violations at the plant or customer sites
•    Exceeds customer expectations and sustains high levels of customer satisfaction ; seeks customer feedback and ensures their needs have been fully met
•    Keeps vehicle and equipment serviced and running well to minimize delays in deliveries 
•    Cooperates and collaborates with co-workers to ensure the job gets done 
•    Completes all necessary paperwork in a timely manner, and provides regular feedback on opportunities to improve delivery efficiencies
•    Is consistently and predictably at work on time and works hours that are scheduled.
•    Other Duties as Assigned

•    Required federal, state and local licenses/permits/certifications for work being performed. 
•    Knowledge of propane along with the safe operation in filling and storage operations.
•    Within first six months in the position, incumbent must meet training and certification requirements for delivery work.
•    Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, contractors, customers, and the general public
•    Ability to climb steps/ladders, walk 1-5 miles and move/carry multiple propane cylinders weighing up to 75 lbs each

•    At least 21 years old with a valid CDL with HazMat and Air Brake endorsements.
•    Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions
•    Lifting, pushing, pulling, bending and climbing in and out of the truck

The Delivery Representative – Cylinder is a key point of contact for our customers.  The Delivery Rep is assigned to a large cylinder truck and delivers cylinders of various sizes and picks up empty cylinders.  Cylinders are delivered to primarily industrial customers on a flat bed truck that may be equipped with a lift gate to assist with loading and unloading cylinders.  A Delivery Representative makes up to 20-30 customer stops on a typical day working in all weather and driving conditions.
