Tax Coordinator

Job Summary (Purpose): 


The Tax Coordinator provides support to the Tax department. Responsible for license and registration renewals, manage mail distribution, assist with data entry for Personal Property and Real Estate Tax Databases, assisting with sales tax exemption entry, and other miscellaneous tasks.  Will respond to internal inquiries from customers and other departments and interface with personnel in other areas to ensure consistency and promote best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Provides administrative support to Director - Tax and Tax Manager: correspondence, filing, travel arrangements, scheduling meetings, mail distribution, and preparation of reports.
  • Provides telephone and e-mail support to Director
  • Assists in data entry for Personal Property and Real Estate Tax
  • Manage the preparation of licensing and registration of company locations
  • Assists with refund requests from customers
  • Assists Tax Accountants with miscellaneous tasks
  • Enters customer sales tax exemptions in Vertex
  • Maintains office supplies and administers maintenance of office equipment
  • Other duties, as assigned


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required, including Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills

Education and Experience Required:


  • 2+ years   of administrative, tax, or accounting related experience required
  • High School diploma required; Associates degree in accounting or business preferred
