Work Arrangement: This position is based out of our Philadelphia office and follows a hybrid schedule, requiring on-site presence Monday through Thursday with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
Travel Requirement: This role requires up to 30% domestic overnight travel.
Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, AmeriGas Operational Procurement leads the AmeriGas Procurement function and serves as a member of both the AmeriGas leadership team and UGI Global Procurement Leadership team. This role is responsible for overseeing all AmeriGas procurement activity with the goal of minimizing the total cost of acquiring goods and services and managing delivery risk. The Senior Manager partners with AmeriGas leaders in understanding all business requirements, factors impacting the supply chain and supports the development of strategies to meet the established business objectives.
Essential Functions:
- Lead all procurement and sourcing activities at AmeriGas, serving as the primary procurement leader and key point of contact for supplier relationship management, strategic partnerships, and category development.
- Support direct and indirect category management teams in developing sourcing strategies that deliver measurable value, and participate in negotiations with key suppliers on agreements for materials and services.
- Partner with the global procurement team to maximize enterprise-wide leverage across categories and ensure AmeriGas procurement activities are aligned with broader organizational goals.
- Oversee procurement policy governance and contract compliance, ensuring adherence to agreements and maintaining consistent standards across the procurement function, including applicable SOX compliance programs.
- Develop and maintain a supplier performance measurement program, conducting due diligence on prospective suppliers and driving continuous improvement in supplier quality and accountability.
- 6Play a key role in managing the end-to-end Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, collaborating with IT on system enhancements and digital capability development, and partnering with stakeholders on equipment specifications and procurement process improvements.
- Lead, develop, and manage AmeriGas Operational Procurement personnel, driving performance management, goal setting, and professional development across the team.
- Act as a change agent — embracing and communicating organizational changes, new technologies, and evolving sourcing processes to build a high-performing, future-ready procurement function.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field required; advanced degree preferred
- Length of Experience: 7+ years of progressive procurement experience, with a demonstrated track record of driving significant cost reduction through relationship-based sourcing (MRO experience a plus)
- Prior experience in Sales, Marketing, or Supply Chain a plus
- Solid experience in working in Procure to Pay (P2P) and Source to Contract (S2C) systems such as Coupa, Ivalua, or SAP Ariba; SAP Ariba experience required
- Certifications: Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or equivalent certification desirable
