Sr. Analyst FP&A - Demand and Capacity Planning

The Sr. Analyst FP&A-Demand and Capacity Planning is responsible for forecasting the gallons demanded and the number of field resources needed to efficiently meet the propane demand.  This position will lead the demand and  resource forecasting process across the AmeriGas business including all customer categories and territories.  In the near term, this position will be responsible for the roll out of accurate short, medium, and long-term demand and capacity plans for field resources.

  • Business partnering and providing financial analyses to support decisions.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement in the financial planning and forecasting process.
  • Highly responsive and motivated with process ownership of the demand and capacity forecast and budget.
  • Effective in communicating financial and non-financial issues with recommendations to senior management. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain and improve a dynamic demand model to support demand forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain a dynamic resource capacity model to support field operational staffing decisions and financial forecasting.
  • Own the process for demand budgeting and forecasting.
  • Own the process for field labor budgeting and forecasting.
  • Build strong relations with supply, operations, distributions, and human resources and provide analysis to support resource management.
  • Review operating statistics and analyze data on variances and trends to understand their causes and build predictive forecast measures.
  • Own all financial reporting related to demand, headcount, and labor. 
  • Collaborate with various departments to incorporate the latest operational plans into the capacity model.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in financial analysis and reporting.  Conducts or participates in some complex financial analysis projects. 
  • Strong cross functional relationship skills.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas to stakeholders of various familiarity with the given topic.
  • Flexibility – Position has a large amount of reporting and analysis on data that changes quicky and is depended on for operational decision making. 
  • Technical – Advanced level of MS Office, specifically MS Excel, is required. 
  • Experience with Office 365 online is a plus.
  • Experience within the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated desire to continuously learn and improve is a strong plus.

 

Education and Experience Required:

  • BS in Finance, Accounting or Business-related field required.  CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
