Job Summary

This position will be hybrid out of Denver, PA Wyomissing, PA or King of Prussia, PA.

As part of the Global Corporate Services Category Management team, the Sourcing Analyst is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of Corporate Services category strategies, strategic sourcing efforts and the creation of requests for proposals (RFPs) using Ariba Sourcing and Contracts Modules. This role will track and analyze spend data out of the ERP and spend analytics tools to minimize the cost of acquiring goods and services and to ensure that services provided meet/exceed expectations. In addition to value delivery through competitive selection of supplier(s) by following UGI's strategic sourcing process and contracting based on established guidelines, this role supports compliance and risk mitigation activities across the company.

Duties and Responsibilities

Create business analysis reports of contracts, contract spend using Microsoft applications e.g. Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, etc.
Working with Category Management Team and Business Owners on data gathering for requests for proposals (RFPs). Create, analyze and manage setting up Ariba sourcing projects and working with SAP IT team on any technical requests to keep projects on schedule
Develop an understanding of the external marketplace and conduct due diligence regarding prospective suppliers with the assistance of key stakeholders. Benchmark industry markets to support category strategies.
Contract development and terms negotiation with selected suppliers
Assist with the continual development and optimization of operating procedures

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Familiarity with procurement systems and systems management, specific experience with SAP Ariba a plus
Strong project management and process skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Strong bias for action
The ability to effectively convey complex and detailed information to a diverse population
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with demonstrated business/financial acumen
Proficient with Windows applications, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)

Education and Experience

College Graduate BS in business related major
3-5 years of procurement related experience
2+ years of experience in a Procurement, Finance or Audit role a plus
ISM CPSM, CIPS, or similar is a plus
Experienced working in a “Strategic Sourcing” environment
