Job Summary (Purpose):
The Software Development Lead will guide and manage the development of existing applications and new technology solutions. Working under the direction of management, this position manages outside development resources, during the software development lifecycle. The Development Lead will collaborate with internal or external partners to build and develop platforms to meet the needs of the business.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provides technical leadership to drive the successful completion of development projects.
• Works with business partners in a cross functional matrix to gain a clear understanding of requirements.
• Acts as a technology and domain subject matter expert in multiple business domains and or technical areas.
• Recommends and implements tools associated with team based software development.
• Creates and/or approves technical design documentation.
• Responsible for ensuring scalable design implementations that focus on code/module/component reuse and covering a larger breath of implementation needs.
• Identifies opportunities for continuous quality improvement of technical standards, methodologies, and technologies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Excellent communication and collaboration capabilities to be able to discuss, influence, and deliver technical concepts easily and efficiently to development teams.
• Knowledge of full systems development life cycle (SDLC).
• Excellent track record in delivering complex and cross functional programs.
• Highly organized with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization either verbally, through email, or by attending team meetings on the status of current initiatives.
• Ability to manage onshore and offshore resources.
• Must be able to assist development teams during detail design activities to clear roadblocks and drive to an outcome.
• Ability to help production support teams to troubleshoot production issues if needed.
• Ability to lead using SCRUM management tools to deliver on sprint goals and commitments.
Education and Experience Required:
• BE or BS Degree in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred.
• 3 - 5+ years of software development experience.
• 3 years of cloud architecture experience.
• Experience in both Waterfall and AGILE project management methodologies preferred.
• Experience with Azure, such as Web and Worker roles and Azure service bus.
• Experience in distributed application development using SCRUM management tools and strategies with such as VSO and JIRA.
Working Conditions:
