Job Summary (Purpose):


The LMS Specialist has two primary functions – LMS administration and eLearning development. The LMS Specialist is the primary resource in providing technical support to internal AmeriGas customers (learners) and assists with tasks surrounding day-to-day LMS system administration  This support will include instructing learners on basic LMS navigation, general LMS questions and troubleshooting. The LMS Specialist will also support eLearning development efforts including designing and developing stand-alone eLearning, revising existing eLearning, writing assessments, conducting internal reviews of draft eLearning, etc.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide prompt and courteous customer support/service to AmeriGas LMS users with the goal of first-contact resolution.
  • Manage LMS support requests via the AmeriGas support ticketing system, email, and telephone. 
  • Effectively articulate complex information to a variety of technical and non-technical customers and articulate technical issues to internal support staff; escalate support issues that require additional technical investigation to the appropriate internal support staff. 
  • Collaborate with Course Owners, the Field Training Team, and other groups as applicable to enroll learners in the appropriate courses and/or curricula for their role. 
  • Partner with Subject-Matter-Experts (SMEs) and/or Process Owners to design and develop engaging eLearning courses that meet learning objectives.
  • Review draft eLearning courses for grammar, functionality, etc.
  • Manage content lifecycle in the LMS (creation, testing, deployment, and retirement); content could include eLearning courses, assessments, evaluations, and virtual/in-person training sessions.
  • Adhere to established LMS standards, policies, and procedures. 
  • Monitor usage and performance of the LMS. 
  • Maintain the AmeriGas LMS on a day-to-day basis, to include loading content to the LMS, running reports, making/removing assignments, etc.
  • Review content and assignments with Course/Process Owners on a regular basis to verify accuracy and relevancy.
  • Support LMS upgrades/updates as required.
  • Provide LMS reporting as requested (scheduled and ad-hoc).
  • Collaborate with other LMS Administrators across the business units to share best practices/techniques, coordinate deployment of content across multiple business units, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

Education and Experience Required:

 

  • BA/BS in related field
  • Minimum five years experience as an LMS Administrator (SAP SuccessFactors preferred).
  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud and Articulate 360 products.
  • Video production and editing experience a plus.
