Job Summary (Purpose):  


The HR Business Partner partners with all levels of management on people related initiatives and develops and implements strategies/plans in support of advancing business goals at the AmeriGas Field Service Center. Supports an employee & contingent worker base of 600+ individuals. The HRBP adopts a solution oriented approach while working with stakeholders and helps develop and implement better people management practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Talent Acquisition & Contract Management: Partners with leadership to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies to address those needs. Drives the contract and vendor management processes. 
  • Change Management: Partners with stakeholders across the company to implement organizational changes and deliver projects, systems and processes that will aid the business.
  • Performance Management & Compensation: Leads managers through performance management and compensation processes . Makes recommendations on compensation keeping in mind internal equity and the company pay philosophy.
  • Development & Succession Planning: Provides managers with training and coaching on leadership skills. Helps identify development/ advancement opportunities, assists in identifying training solutions and creating development plans to address training needs.
  • Engagement & Retention: Creates and drives effective programs to optimize employee engagement and retention, monitors trends, and makes timely recommendations/takes action to improve the employee experience and maintain morale.
  • Affirmative Action Plans & Compliance Reporting: Oversees AAP & EEO plans for the company leading the efforts on finalizing AAP plans across the country including driving education of AAP & EEO initiatives & goals, managing all compliance reporting needs at a federal and state level,
  • Employee Relations & Compliance: Possesses a strong legal comprehension of Federal and State laws to provide counsel to management. Works closely with internal and external legal counsel to conduct investigations, ensure compliance with laws and minimize risks. Responsible for the administration of AmeriGas policies, processes, and systems.

Education and Experience Required:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration required.  MBA or PHR/SPHR desirable. 
  • Demonstrated experience having partnered with business stakeholders to support achievement of business goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR practices and principles with 7+ years of Generalist experience in recruiting, compensation, performance management, change management, employee/leadership development and employee relations.
