Group Director - Analytics and Insights

Job Summary (Purpose):  
As an active member of AmeriGas’ Finance team, and the leader of the analytics function, the Group Director, Analytics & Insights, will derive new business insights and identify key value streams that engage our prospects and customers across multiple channels and improve efficiencies across the company. They will translate advanced analytics into insights and deliver a range of analytic solutions that enable data driven decision making. This leader will own Key Performance Indicators across the organization, and champion the development and adoption of standardized enterprise reporting. This role has a critical part in shaping the strategic direction and establishing a data driven mind set in driving business results at AmeriGas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and deliver the roadmap for consumer data and analytics in collaboration with cross functional business and technology teams.
  • Engage with executive leadership to identify areas where analytics can drive business value.
  • Lead a team of analysts and data scientists to create a data center of excellence
  • Deliver analytic solution methodologies and capabilities to enable insight generation and reporting.
  • Orient advanced analytics, business intelligence (BI), and reporting efforts towards aiding data-driven business decision making and process automation.
  • Drive use cases to industrialization, coordinating closely with business leaders to inform business decisions with data-drive insights.
  • Provide Senior Management in all areas of the company with critical financial information and analysis through the use of BI and other reports.  
  • Oversee data catalog and own the governance of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within organization.
  • Enable business ownership of advanced analytics output and key insights through dashboards and reports.
  • Drive change management to drive user adoption of analytical tools and methods.
  • Builds and updates a prioritization roadmap for analytical analysis projects based on effort required, risk, ROI, and other factors.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Computer Science or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years’ overall experience, with demonstrated track record of translating advanced analytics and data, and articulating key insights to create value and improve business performance
  • Experience with SAP, Hyperion, Qlik, and analytics packages a plus.
  • Exceptional MS Office skills, especially Excel
