Job Summary:

The Delivery Manager supervises the propane delivery activities and the performance and productivity of the Delivery Representatives on a day-to-day basis.  The Delivery Manager works closely with the District Manager to establish delivery benchmarks and objectives and to assure that employees are allocated to appropriate activities as needed.  The Delivery Manager hires, and trains delivery employees to AmeriGas standards and handles all aspects of performance management.  They are proficient in all aspects of proper distribution practices to ensure the most efficient delivery routes.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of trucks and truck maintenance
  • Knowledge of distribution concepts and delivery efficiencies
  • Ability to coach others to drive safely and efficiently
  • Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Access

 

Education and Experience Required:

  • College degree preferred
  • Minimum of five years’ experience supervising employees
  • Valid driver’s license
  • CDL and DOT qualification CTEP and/or required state/local/permits/certifications for work performed a plus
