Job Summary (Purpose):


Coordinates and provides operational support for Supply Chain operations.  Provides support to all transportation groups for DOT and safety compliance, logistics operations and special projects. Collaborates directly with Director in the areas of communications, scheduling, reporting and administration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Manages a broad spectrum of division level administrative and communication tasks at the direction of the Director Supply Chain Operations
  • Acts as the central communications point for all logistics groups 
  • Review priority Logistics reports to evaluate operational inefficiencies and inconsistencies and to track trends for regional teams
  • Mentors and trains S&L personnel in District dashboard, ASW dashboard, Transport driver ELD communications, field electronic communications, Success Factors, Esker, and Ariba 
  • Review, train, and encourage ongoing utilization of Qlikview applications to drive safety compliance, growth opportunities, customer service initiatives, and distribution effectiveness
  • Responsible for driving operational improvements through designated activities and special projects as assigned by Director and/or corporate office
  • Participate as needed in forecast calls with Directors (weekly), terminal updates with Regional Logistics Managers (quarterly), as well as calls with drivers and/or terminal operations 
  • Responsible for all administrative tasks associated with the S&L Airborne programs to include tracking, incentives, and P Card administration etc.
  • Provide region teams with information, updates and feedback on key issues and concerns expressed by field employees
  • Provide front-line support to field users before and during any new business rollouts which can include expert-led training, ‘how to’ support and escalation of issues

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Expert in multiple operational systems along with the aptitude and enthusiasm for teaching others
  • High level of discretion when dealing with confidential information and issues 
  • Must have excellent organization and administrative skills
  • Must be proactive and responsive to all issues and concerns
  • Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) at intermediate level
  • Comfortable with navigating and working with ambiguity and independence


Education and Experience Required:

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Ability to operate all office equipment and have computer skills at an intermediate level using Microsoft office products. 
  • 5+ years in a fast paced business operation or similar office setting handling many different activities requiring the use of all office equipment and Microsoft Windows and other windows based applications.
