Job Summary (Purpose):
Manage regional transportation activities within company operating standards to maximize efficiencies in transportation and customer delivery operations. Regional dynamics include revenues of $8MM annually, 50-80 transport drivers, related assets and common carrier management.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Facilitate Safety Policies and Procedures, Accident/Incident Reporting, Randoms, and Restricted Work Cases
• Manage and implement corrective action, coaching and training for direct reports and transport drivers consistent with Company Policies & Procedures, and Regulatory Compliance
• Manage performance objectives for direct reports and transport drivers within regional responsibility, evaluations, merit distribution and approval
• Responsible for regional profit & loss/financials to budget, facilitate and maintain third party customer sales
• Build and implement an annual strategic business plan (transportation plan), optimize the inter company assets
• Responsible for accuracy and promptness on data entry for AmeriGas fuel schedule, freight charges, and related trucking costs components on transport deliveries
• Negotiate and approve carrier rates billing and special services
• Direct Reports of 40 to 80 in Organization.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Understanding strategic planning as well as specific operational components of surface transportation within a supply chain environment
• Extensive knowledge of DOT Rules such as Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and Hours of Service
• Working knowledge of trucking economics including profit and loss statements
• Advanced skill in conflict resolution management, interpersonal skills that coincide with team and supply chain management environment
• Working knowledge of freight rate structures for pricing service
• Basic knowledge of Federal Labor Laws which include EEO and ADA
Education and Experience Required:
• 2 or 4-year degree in Business, Transportation and Logistics related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of regional transportation management or central dispatch operations experience
• 3+ years’ supervisory experience in the transportation or logistics field and/or propane logistics management
Working conditions:
• 5% Travel

The pay for this position ranges from $89,200.00 to 130,900.00, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation includes eligibility to earn a performance-based bonus or commissions on completed sales.
