Job Summary (Purpose):
Manages all aspects of production, distribution, and account management for the AmeriGas Cylinder Exchange operations within a region. Responsible for the production center expense budget and overall EBITDA results for the cylinder exchange business within the Region. Primary objectives are to ensure adequate finished product supply to AmeriGas districts, liaise with same, manage capital project installations, assist with new customer rollouts via effective communication and scheduling, and perform all aspects of job with the highest ethical integrity. Perform all duties within Region safely and in compliance with all Company policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with safety codes and policies including the servicing and repair of ACE Production Center Vehicles; the proper handling and filling of cylinders; employees wearing proper PPE; and customer installations which are safe and in compliance with state and federal regulations. Training of ACE retailers. Promote, assess, develop, and implement safety standards with refurbishers to ensure safety and quality of products, as well as personnel and operational safety performance.
- Plan, direct and manage staffing and development of ACE employees within purview; effectively communicate company strategic goals; conduct effective and timely performance appraisals; ensure all training for employees is completed; and work with employees to improve their satisfaction levels as measured by employee surveys.
- Practice and reinforce superior customer service skills with all employees by sharing customer survey results with employees and developing action plans with Market Managers to increase customer service. Ensure a professional appearance of AmeriGas equipment and personnel to our customers. Perform route rides with drivers to promote effective route management and cage and cylinder appearance standards and communicating all available Marketing programs to all district employees.
- Control operating expenses by evaluating personnel and delivery needs; manage re-valve costs, cylinder replacement rates, and refurbishing rates for a positive EBITDA; and monitor payroll allocation and expense control deficiencies and review activity with regional financial managers.
- Maintain a consistent cost effective quality product by monitoring production crews and outside vendors to ensure that efficiencies are maximized and prices are minimized; by managing the quality of cylinders being delivered to the districts.
- Perform delivery, service, sales, customer service, and/or District administrative work as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Direct knowledge of Direct Store Delivery
- PC proficiency, including Excel spreadsheet, PowerPoint and word processing software
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory compliance
- People management skills
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university is preferred
- 5-7 years of related experience
- Experience in the consumer products and propane industry a plus

The pay for this position ranges from $113,000 to $139,000 per year, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include eligibility to earn a performance-based bonus or commissions on completed sales depending on position.
