Job Summary
Responsible assisting in the creation, negotiation, and management of contracts throughout their entire lifecycle to ensure the organization's interests are protected and compliance is maintained. Liaison with the legal team and the sales team to ensure that contract changes meet legal and business requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare contract documents with customers to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal and company standards.
- Identify potential risks, liabilities, and compliance issues within customer redlines. Provide contract markups to ensure that redline edits comply with established standard alternatives.
- Collaborate with legal counsel on complex contract issues and interpretations to ensure non-standards edits are approved by the business leadership and/or legal team, and engage with Sales to clarify any legal and business decisions on requested red-lines.
- Coordinate contract execution process from initiation through completion. Organize, maintain, and store all contract-related documents, correspondence, and versions to ensure accessibility and serve as an audit trail.
- Collaborate with various internal departments, such as legal, finance, sales, and operations to ensure contractual terms meet business objectives and regulatory requirements to ensure smooth contract progression.
- Develop and maintain contract templates, checklists, approved alternate language, and standard operating procedures. Identify opportunities to streamline contract processes and improve efficiency. Assist in implementing contract management software and tools.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on contract procedures.

- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Strong time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple contracts and deadlines.
- Ability to initiate collaboration efforts with peers and other departments to solve complex problems and anticipate requests and issues before they arise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, finance, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in contract analysis, procurement, or related field.
- Advanced certifications like Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCA) or Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCA) (Preferred)
- Familiarity with the propane distribution industry (or similar industry) and associated business and legal risks; Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) Platforms.

The pay for this position ranges from $62,700.00 to $75,400.00, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors.
