Job Summary
The Industrial Sales Representative prospects, qualifies, and closes new customers by selling propane solutions within a specific geographic assignment. Retains business from secured commercial accounts. Meets and exceeds sales goals defined by Total Sales Profit. Assists local operations management in coaching field personnel on business growth. This position is commission pay eligible.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Increase revenue from new and existing customers:
- Establish strong relationships with prospective customers through various prospecting and business development techniques
- Develop and execute sales plans to maintain high call activity and increase productivity
- Network with decision-makers in targeted organizations to promote AmeriGas solutions
- Build internal and external client relationships during work hours and special events
- Protect AmeriGas from competitive threats; maintain and share competitive intelligence
- Prepare and present sales proposals to current and prospective customers
Product and Solution Expertise
- Maintain expert knowledge on products, solutions, and regulatory changes
- Work with area sales manager and vendors to improve sales tools and techniques
- Maintain knowledge of applications and customer solutions
- Attend required periodic meetings and training classes
Administrative Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate paperwork based on corporate policy and procedures
- Review commission statements to ensure accurate payment
- Proficiently use CRM tools for new account acquisition
- Perform other assigned duties as required
Requirements
- Sales skills to independently prospect territory, discover needs, present solutions, and secure business
- Ability to maintain high productivity through careful time management
- Complete understanding of propane products and services
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel locally for customer/district visits and trade shows
- High school education or equivalent required; college degree preferred
- 3+ years of sales experience with demonstrated success and goal attainment
- Commercial/industrial sales experience preferred

The pay for this position ranges from $38,000.00 to , depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation includes eligibility to earn a performance-based bonus or commissions on completed sales.
