This position will report out of our Middletown, PA office.

 

 

Job Summary

Responsible for the successful execution of UGI’s capital program portfolio of R&B and Growth projects in adherence with company safety and operating policies and procedures in designated region.  Provides leadership and supervision to  capital construction team members and maintains effective relationships with assigned contractors. Assists Manager Capital Contruction in Lehigh in Management of UGI Tapping Resources. Supports Operations in Duty Supervisor rotation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct a team to manage R&B and Growth project construction from the Construction Ready through Job Complete status, including all required close-out documentation.  This will include managing the customer experience and municipal relationships and notifications during construction as well as quality assurance and inspection activities to reduce risk and gain efficiency.   Safety should be a core value and priority when completing construction. 
  • Develop & manage annual resource plan required to meet assigned production and mileage targets
  • Develop a strong supervisory team and promote individual growth & development among the capital construction team, including supporting Manager Capital Construction Lehigh with the management/coordination of UGI Tapping resources.
  • Collaborate with Engineering & Capital Project Management and foster productive relationships to effectively & efficiently meet the capital plan targets.
  • Support Project Management, Capital Planning & Engineering with development and prioritization of the project plan
  • Support Operations in Duty Supervisor rotation and perform other duties as requested

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Exceptional Communication Skills, Verbal, Written, Presentation.
  • Knowledge of gas distribution systems, and technical aspects of pipeline construction.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks to effectively achieve results.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience supervising a team.
  • Ability to develop and implement new processes to enhance organizational performance.
  • Ability to Lead, Coach and Manage Team Members.
  • Ability to Manage Resources, Schedule work and balance project priorities.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Business, Project/ Construction Management, Engineering or other applicable degree or a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
  • 7+  years progressive experience in the utility or construction industry.  Demonstrated ability to lead teams and complex projects
  • Driver’s License
  • Prior leadership experience preferred
