The Materials Inventory Assistant will support the Inventory Management process for operational sites at UGI Energy Services (UGIES) ensuring that required materials and parts are on-hand to support maintenance and operations at these facilities.  The Materials Inventory Assistant will support and work with field personnel to assist them in properly executing inventory processes and procedures and effectively using related computerized systems.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Understand and adhere to OSHA and UGIES safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain pertinent computerized systems and databases.
  • Provide troubleshooting and issue resolution of pertinent computerized systems for field personnel.
  • Support and assist field personnel with inventory processes and procedures.
  • Conduct periodic physical inventory audits at assigned sites in conjunction with other UGIES departments as required.
  • Provide training and assistance on inventory processes and pertinent computerized systems.
  • Additional duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of midstream natural gas, LNG, and LPG operations and equipment is desired.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 10 pounds and work in a cold or hot environment.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to UGIES facilities and worksites.
  • Professional, reliable, and self-directing work habits.
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, resourcefulness, and ability to prioritize.
  • Service-oriented mindset and ability to work collaboratively with field personnel at various sites.
  • Moderate to advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) and ability to be proficient in the maintenance of database systems.

Education and Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma.
  • 2-year Technical or Associates Degree is desired.
  • 3+ years’ experience with inventory processes and procedures.
  • 3+ years’ experience with a computerized maintenance (CMMS) and/or inventory system. Experience with SAP, highly preferred.
