Gas Supply Coordinator

OVERVIEW: UGI Energy Services’ (UGIES) gas supply department has experienced tremendous growth over the past few years through the number of assets added, corresponding trading activity and the value contributed to earnings.  UGIES has plans for additional peaking assets and pipelines in the near term continuing the growth initiative. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for arranging the transportation of natural gas from the production wells and storage fields to our customers in markets throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. 
  • The scheduling activity entails working closely with our physical gas trading group, utility scheduling coordinators and outside counterparties. 
  • Responsible for determining the most efficient and reliable method to move supplies using the company’s assets which include capacity on the interstate pipelines.
  • Develop a road map for the most efficient connections between supply and demand.
  • Responsible for communicating or making nominations to the interstate pipelines. 
  • Changing or rechecking operating parameters. 
  • Recording information in our database for accounting and billing purposes.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High degree of organization, math skills and strong analytical skills. 
  • High level of enthusiasm.

 

Education and Experience Required:

  • Ideal candidates should have a technical degree such as accounting, mathematics, business, engineering, or possess equivalent energy experience or a bachelor’s degree.
