Job Summary

The Senior Director of IT Operations will be responsible for owning, maintaining, managing and building the future strategy around IT infrastructure enablement, design, consolidation and future implementations.  This role covers global infrastructure, design / architecture, datacenters, all networking including unified communications, and identity and access management.

Duties and Responsibilities

•    Management of the team, demonstrate accountability and responsibility, communication to stakeholders and business leaders aligning strategy, roadmaps, projects, priorities

•    Building future roadmaps, budgets and aligning with other IT leaders in IT 

•    Building opex and capex budgets to match the strategy and roadmaps including contractors, externals partners and suppliers. Track progress and against budget and adjust priorities accordingly 

•    Support to Infrastructure enablement and future design and planning, projects.  This includes aligning with all security and compliance activity

•    Support and decision making around the networking and UC enablement and future tasks including priorities and people.  Must include all compliance and security activity enablement. 
•    Support and decision making around IAM enablement and future tasks including priorities and people.  Must include all compliance and security activity enablement.
•    Progress and promote the importance of this phase and build it into all major projects and priorities.  Sign off against all designs and project charters

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

•    High-level knowledge and understanding of Corporate IT Infrastructure.  
•    How to assess the speed of change whilst not affecting user experience and connectivity.  
•    Aligning with security policies and security operational activities.
•    Must have high-level strategic thinking, alignment, collaboration and prioritization skills. 
•    High-level people skills in terms of staff management, influencing others, stakeholder communication and management of suppliers, contractors are critical to the success of this role. 
•    High level understanding of future IT tools to improve, enhance the services / security.

Education and Experience

•    Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, Master’s preferred.
•    Change training such as Six Sigma, ITIL or Prince 2 also advantageous but not mandatory.
•    Minimum of 10 plus years of extensive knowledge on the IT Infrastructure Services and
enablement including strategy, budgets and processes around compliance, high levels of
infrastructure security understanding.
