Under general direction of the Manager of Risk and Corporate Insurance, administers the domestic and international insurance programs including, property, executive risk, cyber and casualty.  Assists in risk management programs and the Company's Captive Insurance Company.


Job Responsiblities: 



  • Gather and collate exposure information for twelve lines of business (including General Liability, Auto Liability, Property, Workers Compensation, Capacity Performance, Executive Lines, Pollution, Crime, Motor Cargo and Builders Risk)
  • Interact with Broker to complete and submit applications to the underwriters
  • Participate in the negotiation of policy terms and pricing
  • Allocates premium to internal companies based on defined exposures
  • Processes invoices for payment
  • Reviews  insurance policies to ensure they conform to negotiated coverage
  • Maintains policy records according to records retention policy
  • Maintains insurance schedule with updated policy and premium information


Contract Review

  • Provides review of insurance language in leases and contracts to limit or mitigate risk to the company, and ensure that the company can comply with any insurance requirements agreed in written contracts


Surety Bonds

  • Work with field and Surety Broker to expedite and execute bonds for the field
  • Monitor expiring bonds to determine renewal or cancellation status
  • Processes all surety invoices


Internal Consulting

  • Responds to inquiries of insurance coverage and claims handling process
  • Advises Company personnel on insurance needs and concerns
  • Provides assistance with non-standard certificates of insurance
  • Provides ad-hoc reporting and technical research as needed
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Oversees the outgoing certificate of insurance and vehicle ID card programs
  • Updates Department Portal to communicate Company programs and support field operations
  • Maintains information in the Riskconnect Risk Management System to support insurance operations
  • Maintains annual premium schedules and allocations for all programs
  • Assists with generating reports for senior management utilizing Excel, power point and Riskconnect
  • Maintain/update internal procedures manual


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business or Finance 
  • A minimum of Five (5) years of experience in commercial insurance as Broker or Commercial Underwriter
  • Should have familiarity with commercial insurance markets and various policy forms
  • Candidate should have or be pursuing an insurance designation such as ARM, CPCU, CRM or AIM to evidence proficiency in Risk Management.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint with prior RMIS experience
  • Must be a self- starter and motivated to fulfill assignments and tasks as they arise
  • The ideal candidate will bring creative and innovative solutions for issues surrounding the Risk Management function
  • Excellent and effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate in an effort to provide the best solution to all involved stake holders
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, analytical and organizational skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills
