The Manager of investor relations will be a key team member, along with the Director of Investor Relations and Treasurer, within the investor relations function with responsibility for investor relations and corporate communications. Understanding of the company’s operations, risks, and financial profile and growth prospects is critical to the role. Responsibilities include preparation and delivery of investor communications, frequent interaction with the investor community, competitive analyses, and management of the website.  


Job Responsibilities:


Investor Relations Activities

  • Prepare quarterly earnings materials including slides, press releases, and Q&A. Assist with preparation of board materials for the annual investor relations update.
  • Communicate UGI’s story and investment thesis to investors and potential investors.
  • Build investor targeting effort by performing in-depth research on firms and funds where UGI is underweight. Identify key decision makers within firms (analysts and portfolio managers) and track efforts to build relationship.
  • Coordinate non-deal roadshows and investor conferences, including participating in investor meetings as needed.
  • Research universe of sell-side analysts and assist in establishing relationships with those that do not currently cover UGI.
  • Work with business units and/or corporate subject-matter experts to develop strategy /talking points regarding emerging business issues.
  • Maintain UGI “Databook” with up-to-date information about UGI and AmeriGas’s financial performance, FAQs, project updates, and public-disclosure summary.
  • Track peer events and read peer earnings transcripts for insight into analyst questions and peer responses. Consolidate into periodic summary updates for senior management.
  • Assist in the preparation of ad hoc analysis for senior management and the Board of Directors.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly benchmarking analysis to peers.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of UGI’s investor base including fund-level detail and prepare periodic updates to senior management.
  • Coordinate planning and execution of biennial Investor Day event.




Corporate Communications

  • Compile consolidated library of photography sorted by business unit and upload for access by business units.
  • Manage UGI Corporation website to ensure information is current, accurate, and that broken links are removed. Work with website hosting company to make edits/updates.
  • Assist with preparation of UGI and AmeriGas annual reports including arranging photography, theme selection, writing copy, and arranging printing and delivery of materials.
  • Facilitate corporate approval of business unit press releases. Write corporate press releases on occasion.


Job Requirements:

  • BA (or equivalent) emphasizing Finance, Economics or Accounting
  • MBA or CFA preferred
  •  Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in investments, corporate finance or similar function
  • Demonstrated broad and accurate perspective on business affairs. 
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a diverse work group involving significant outside contacts. 
  • Ability to advance projects independently.
