Key responsibilities of the R2R GPO include:

 

This position reports to Chief Accounting Officer, VP of Finance

 

  • Leveraged Service Implementation Project Responsibilities
  • Assume the ownership of the R2R process
  • Lead the R2R workstream of the Leveraged Service project
  • Design the future state R2R processes leveraging the industry best practices
  • Balance global standardization with necessary requirements for regional customization
  • Create service performance metrics for productivity, cost, and quality and monitor the KPIs to strive for service excellence
  • Develop Service Level Agreements and Pricing Models (if applicable)
  • Define roles & responsibilities across organizational silos (LS, BU, Corp)
  • Evaluate the future technology needs and recommend the solution(s).

 

Regular Responsibilities:

 

  • Assume full ownership of the entire R2R process.
  • Establish and maintain R2R policies, processes and procedures.
  • Develop R2R process strategy through ongoing collaborating with all stakeholders and BU leader to ensure that R2R process effectively supports the local BU needs and meets business objectives with internal control consideration.
  • Drive continuous process improvement in effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Perform periodic process evaluation and industry best practice benchmarking to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze the service performance metrics and perform root cause diagnosis to refine the existing process for operational excellence.
  • Identify technology needs, define business requirements, and evaluate technology solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with internal service clients and global stakeholders (i.e. Business Unit management teams) to drive a continuous improvement culture.
  • Evaluate the applicability of existing SLAs and make necessary adjustment.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for automation, standardization and expand the services offering.
  • Foster a positive working environment and build a high performance team
  • Maintain process documentation and ensure that they are easily accessible.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or finance required 
  • CPA required   
  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in R2R processes such as closing, consolidation and financial reporting. Energy industry experience is preferred
  • Experience in developing and implementing R2R in a Leveraged Service environment is required
  • Minimum 8 years of people management experience
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP S4 HANA, Oracle Hyperion Financial Management, and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies (i.e. Six Sigma, Lean, etc.) and tools such as process mapping and root cause analysis is required
  • Minimum 5 years of using metric-drive service excellence approach to identify and implement process improvements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Relationship management skill to influence and persuade for desired outcomes
  • Critical thinking to proactively identify and address obstacles before they become problems
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities in an unstructured, global and virtual environment
  • Ability to travel internationally on a limited basis as needed
