This position is a leadership position reporting to the CISO and representing the mission and interest of the security program on behalf of the CISO including providing reports to senior management and the Board of Directors when needed.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Provide cyber-attack breach and investigative consultation to support the CISO and other senior leadership. Perform and lead incident response activities and give leadership to the product lifecycle for security tools and support assessments and testing that presents the health of UGI’s security defenses
  • Oversee the monitoring and End Point Detection & Network threats from multiple sources for actionable indicators/information. This is inclusive of evaluating threats, maintaining knowledge of the threat landscape, and disseminating / communication information on threats        
  • Lead a team that provides tier three expert analytical support to subsidiaries requiring subject matter expertise for analyzing, assessing, or responding to a cyber threat event   
  • Liaison with other  Cyber SOC in industry, HHS, DHS and the FBI   
  • Lead the identification and development of talent and for managing performance to ensure goals and objectives are met or exceeded and develop a high performing team through employee engagement               


Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or Engineering (relevant concentration preferred)
  • Information Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM, SANS coursework)
  • Min 15 years work experience as an Information Security professional and/Technology Professional
  • 10+ years of managerial experience in information security, a cyber security related field or other complex information risk management function
  • Government Agency relationships or working cyber experience with DoD, CIA, FBI, Homeland Security, etc.
  • Advanced understanding of security architecture, security technologies, systems design, integration s and networking
  • Understanding of the tactics, techniques, and procedures of cyber threat actors
  • Understanding of geo-political dynamics and how they affect the wider cyber threat landscape
  • Experience working with the kill chain MITRE ATTACK framework, advanced persistent threat, third party risks, cybercrime, hacktivism, cyber fraud, malware and ransomware, mobile threats, social engineering, insider threats, incident response, threat intelligence, host network-based security, and etc.
  • Experience in evaluating host and network forensic reports of electronic media, packet capture, log data analysis, malware triage and network devices in support of intrusion analysis or enterprise level information security operations
  • Excellent knowledge of security solutions and technologies, including Windows, Linux, network architecture / implementation / configuration
  • Experience conducting analysis of firewall technologies, proxy technologies, anti-virus, or spam and spyware solutions (Gateway and SaaS)
  • Experience in working with threat modeling systems
  • Experience conducting intelligence investigations and familiarity with investigative tools, including Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIPs)
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills to communicate findings and recommendations to different audiences and stakeholders
  • Established relationships or experience with industry organizations
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop a mentoring culture with both experienced team members and junior staff
