Job Summary (Position Summary):
- The Compensation Manager leads the overall broad based Compensation initiatives and programs, and provides subject matter expertise to business aligned HRBPs along with supporting operations teams when needing compensation guidance. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to job families and salary structure ownership and administration, job evaluations, salary survey participation and administration, and data reporting and analytics. Owns the administration of annual incentives in all phases and works on costing and modeling projects along with plan communications. Manages and participates on special compensation projects as needed and identified by leadership and the business. Provides guidance and subject-matter expertise to peers as tied to the compensation framework.
Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Partner with Senior Director, Compensation, Compensation Analysts, HR Business Partners and management as needed to provide advice and analysis for compensation and unique business challenges, including but not limited to talent retention, internal equity, market competitiveness, pay programs, pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations
- Manages the annual merit process through the Success Factors platform; partners with Talent Management team to connect the performance review and merit process across the enterprise
- Operationalizes and implements compensation plans, including annual guidelines for compensation administration (merit budgets and increase grids) and incentive plans.
- Works with managers and HR Business Partners to write new or update existing descriptions; recommends salary grades, salaries, and titles while ensuring jobs have both internal equity and are competitive to the external market keeping in mind organizational structure and hierarchy
- Conducts/participates in compensation surveys , maintains knowledge of competitive trends and practices, and use that information to provide input on internal compensation practices.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and present thoughtful financial models and analysis with the ability to recommend solutions to unique business problems
- The ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in a fast paced business environment while building trust of the team integrity
- Thorough understanding of short term incentive plans, concepts, and designs
- Knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations and compliance requirements related to US compensation standards and principals
- Must be self-driven and able to work autonomously with acute awareness and heightened focus on data integrity, accuracy and professional presentation of findings and solutions
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting or other related field
- 7+ Years of experience
- CCP Preferred
