IT SYSTEMS ANALYST – CORPORATE OFFICE (CHARLESTON, WV)

We are currently recruiting in our Corporate office, Charleston, WV, for an IT Systems Analyst. 

This position analyzes application needs and requirements, develops computer programs, designs and builds reports, and provides support for company applications. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:  

• Serves as subject matter expert for multiple business systems.
• Supports company applications including but not limited to accounting, billing, metering and measurement, document imaging, and customer information system.
• Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, documents, implements, and maintains application and interface changes using independent judgement and discretion.
• Interacts directly with customers to determine and define functional requirements.
• Provides proactive and reactive technical assistance regarding errors, problems, or questions with applications and reports.

      
Requirements:

• Familiarity with common software development platforms, database management systems, and reporting packages.  
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related discipline and 2 years of related work experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.  
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.  
• Ability to travel and work after ordinary business hours as required or needed.  

Preferences:

• Five years of related work experience.
• Hands-on experience with platforms and applications used by the company.
• Experience with gas industry business applications, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and Crystal Reports.
• Proficiency in Visual Studio (VB and C#/.NET).  
• Natural gas IT experience.
