Job Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative support in functional areas of Human Resources including, but not limited to employee relations, recruitment and employment, personnel records, compensation, workers compensation and benefits administration.  Assist in the administration of company policies and procedures.

**Position has flexibility to be based out of our Williamsport or Wilkes Barre office.**

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Under the guidance of the HR Generalist, investigate problems/issues and provide assistance and/or information to employees and retirees on various HR related issues including compensation and benefits, HR policies and practices and Company policies.
  • Track employee absences through WFS for vacation, personal, sick, and FMLA days and complete corrections and adjustments as needed; complete other task as assigned.
  • Complete and process employee promotions, progressions, and other changes in Employee Central. Conduct Review of retirement process and paperwork with employees.  FMLA Administration including correspondence and leave case set up in EC.  Assist employees as needed with self-service benefits enrollments and changes.  Coordinate random drug testing for area employees.  Conduct new hire references, background checks, schedule drug screens/physicals and put together new hire packet for them to attend Orientation.  Schedule field DOT Recert physicals.  Enter worker’s comp cases and work with Next Level on employees’ condition.  This position supports employees at multiple locations in UGI’s central and northern operating regions. 
  • Complete and process invoicing, DocuSign documents, personnel requisitions, union contract increases, Success Factors, Databank and other duties as assigned. 
  • Utilize third party administrator’s substance abuse testing system and website.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • General Knowledge and understanding of employment policies, practices, and procedures. 
  • Experience with collective bargaining agreements.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations particularly the Fair Labor Standards Act and FMLA.
  • Extensive knowledge of advanced MS Word and Excel skills, experience with an HRIS, preferably People Connect.
  • Effective interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources Administrative Experience.
