Job Summary
The main focus of the Substation Engineering Intern will be to update paper and outdated digital control drawings and other records into 2D AutoCAD, assist other engineers in upcoming major substation and metering projects including overseeing construction, material selection and requisition, and cataloging stock versus equipment in the field.
**This internship is fully on site, 5 days a week in the Wilkes-Barre, PA office. Looking for someone local in the Wilkes-Barre, PA area.**
Duties and Responsibilities
- Update control drawings in 2D AutoCAD including wiring tracing to confirm drawings.
- Assist in substation material specification and acquisition.
- Assist in cataloging CTs and PTs in the field and in stock.
- Assist with oversight of the construction of a new 13kV structure and protection at Swoyersville Substation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Microsoft Office Products
- Familiarity with AutoCAD 2D
- Critical thinking/problem solving
- Communication with internal employees and outside vendors
- Basic understanding of electrical control circuits
Education and Experience
- In progress towards a Bachelors or Associates degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
