Job Summary
With a commitment to safety, oversees the employees in the day-to-day activities including scheduling, administrative responsibilities, customer service, problem resolution, training and safety. The Sr Supervisor is also expected to show a field presence as it relates to the work they oversee. Job requires supervision after hours on an on-call basis.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and experience to plan and schedule functions of assigned Operations resources engaged in all facets of locating activity.
- Inspect construction/maintenance sites to ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and Company policies and procedures which influence the safety of employees, customers, and the general public as well as Company equipment and facilities.
- Maintain all Company records, maps, and reports with neatness and accuracy that are generated through daily crew activity. Provide evaluation and review of Productivity payroll reports prior to final entry.
- Establish and maintain favorable relationships with employees, customers, political representatives, and the general public. Minimize union grievances and respond to customer complaints with good human relations skills to build a favorable public image while also arriving at equitable resolutions.
- Demonstrate leadership abilities on activities to achieve Company goals in areas such as Safety, Emergency Response, Compliance, Construction and Maintenance. Respond to, and take leadership roles in emergency situations including off hours and Duty Supervisor roles.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Technical knowledge of the installation and maintenance of gas facilities.
- Familiarity of Federal, State, and Local Codes and Safety Regulations.
- Knowledge of Union Contracts and Terms.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Ability to take direction and provide direction to others.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 5 years’ experience.
