This position will provide support for the Sales Dept. in responding to customer inquiries for new or additional gas service.  They will canvass for new customers in existing and proposed Get projects and along proposed gas main extensions.  They will manage the customer installation process so as to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Respond to and or initiate potential residential and commercial customer inquiries for converting to or adding additional gas service for GET projects and or normal service or main installations.  Design and estimate service and meters to UGI’s profitability guidelines and system specifications.
  • Identify, promote and sell natural gas service to non-customers along or nearby UGI’s distribution system.  Promote natural gas to residential and commercial developers and builders to secure new construction markets and increase market share.  Promote appliance saturation and provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the process to accomplish the required installation of gas facilities in the least expensive manner.
  • Determine possible areas for gas main extensions for the GET or normal extension policies.
  • Perform other duties as required.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in writiTypical office conditions, however, in field site visits will also be required usually on a daily and verbally.
  • Excellent computer skills and the ability to quickly learn the Company’s computer systems.
  • Outgoing personality who enjoys meeting new people.
  • Self-motivated in pursuing the assigned goals.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Good customer relation skills.



  • Must currently be pursuing a 4-year bachelor’s degree
  • Driver’s License


Working Conditions:

  • Typical office conditions, however, in field site visits will also be required usually on a daily basis.
