As part of the Electric Service group, manage notifications for customers needing new/upgraded electrical service or have non-emergency Electric-related issues. Process daily timesheets for assigned departments or contractors. Act as a backup for peers’ responsibilities. Perform other Electric Operations support as assigned. Participate in storm restoration efforts.


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Customer Calls / Order Creation: Receive and satisfy customer requests for new service installations, service upgrades/removals/maintenance, lighting, and tree trimming; create associated CIS / Work Management orders.  Respond to customer inquiries and instruct them in company requirements and procedures.
  • Timekeeping: Enter Electric Meter Service Rep and Meter Shop personnel. timesheets into associated timekeeping system; detect and resolve discrepancies by interacting with supervision, taking union rules into account. Serve as a back-up for other peers’ timekeeping duties.
  • CIS / Work Management Data Updates: Enter into the work management system the as-built construction units associated with work orders. Modify information in the Service Records database to reflect new service installations, upgrades and removals. Complete DOJM requirements associated with the tracking and completion of work order packets and route as required. Manage various aspects of service orders, customer information, and technical master data in SAP. Perform necessary steps in CIS, work management, and mobile order dispatching systems to update completed service order technical and billing data, including lighting. Update paper records associated with various systems.
  • Meter Reading Data Management: Use mobile dispatching system to manage service orders associated with daily work. Update meter notes and other data in the system. Handle calls and emails regarding meter reading and collections. Execute processes on the ITRON FCS meter reading system. Provide technical assistance with the ITRON handheld and mobile collections units. Assist field personnel with equipment, vacation schedule, uniform ordering, and general field issues including helping to find service addresses. Assist with property access requests. Provide field, technical support, and to Electric Meter Shop personnel.
  • Other: Perform general clerical duties and Electric Operations support as assigned. Perform various storm restoration duties as needed, which could include both clerical as well as field work. Oversee and assign SAP Notifications. Oversee Electrical Inspection process, enter inspection data into UGI’s systems, interact with local inspectors to advise of Company procedures.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Professional telephone and social etiquette; good people skills
  • Proficiency with Windows PC & typing; ability to use Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Access
  • Comfortable with database data entry and report generation concepts
  • Ability to navigate customer information systems and mainframe data entry / work management systems
  • General clerical / secretarial / organizational / problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in mathematical computation
  • Good driving skills and comfortable with field work



  • High School Diploma
  • Few years’ experience in Electric Division’s procedures preferred
  • PA Driver’s License


Working Conditions

  • Regular office conditions, field duties which could include storm restoration efforts
