Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Distribution Engineering Department, the intern will perform field inspections, data verification for Make Ready Application and other department projects.
**This position is fully onsite 5 days a week in Wilkes-Barre, PA.**
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Complete field visit to verify construction performed on telecom applications for the Make Ready program.
- Perform field visits for basic Inspection and Maintenance follow up reporting.
- Verify DOJM work request status for past construction projects.
- Assist in field survey for line extensions, modifications and permitting.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Good computer skills- Microsoft Excel and Word
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and manage assigned projects from start to completion.
- Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and effectively both written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to deal with the public and represent the company in a professional manner.
Education and Experience Required:
- 1 year of Engineering study and currently enrolled in an Engineering program.
- Valid Driver’s License
