Job Summary

  • Basic pipe fitting.
  • Meter Changes.
  • Callout, when judged qualified.
  • Leak Response, when judged qualified.
  • Confined Space Entry Required.
  • Change and interrupt pressure recording charts.
  • Odorant testing, Sniff Test.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with Regulator Gate Station Inspections.  Test/rebuild/calibrate control valves, pneumatic controllers, pilot operated regulators and reliefs. Completion, through an MDT computer, of all field required documentation for compliance reporting.
  • Assist with Regulator District Station Inspections.  Test/rebuild/calibrate pilot and direct operated regulators along with reliefs.  Completion, through an MDT computer, of all field documentation for compliance reporting.
  • Valve Inspections.  Utilize an MDT computer to correctly identify valves, record the inspection and verify field mapping records.
  • Commercial Industrial Meter Sets.  Install/Inspect/rebuild/change meter sets.  Completion of all field documentation on M&R SharePoint site.
  • Perform all weekly and monthly M&R Compliance requirements for pressure recording charts and sniff test reporting.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • The ability to learn gas regulation principles and applicable codes.
  • Must be able to follow UGI Safety Practices and GOM requirements.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work with supervision, fellow employees, customers and the general public.
  • Good mechanical, written and verbal skills.
  • Participate in a team environment.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior M&R Experience helpful.
  • Must possess valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
