Job Summary

Qualified by training and experience to do all pipefitting and construction tasks with direct supervision, emergency response, turn ons, basic backhoe/trencher/front end loader operation, dump truck operator (CDL-A), eligible  for callout list when judged qualified, (Utility A III – locates, high pressure excavation monitoring), skilled at higher levels of tasks below. 

Utility A – II (C&M and Utility) – First Response on Call (1ROC). Also performed by all higher classifications in C&M and CS

 

Chosen candidate must live within 45 minutes of Reading, PA 19611

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Dump truck operator
  • Pipefitting and construction tasks
  • Basic backhoe/front end loader operation
  • Line locating

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must posess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license
  • Good mechanical or pipefitting skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills a plus
  • Must obtain CDL A operator's license in 6 months of hire

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
