Job Summary

Manage and document the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of revisions and/or newly created training materials and performance support (PS) documents.  Author, review, and publish training and PS materials utilizing the Xyleme Learning Content Management System (LCMS) while adhering to a formalized process.  Gather content for new and existing materials and facilitate the review process with subject matter experts.  Conduct train the trainer events.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Author training and performance support (PS) materials utilizing the Xyleme Learning Content Management System.
  • Manage multiple projects, create/revise training and PS materials, and meet deadlines utilizing the ADDIE and UGI process. 
  • Recommend training methods and PS solutions to meet performance goals based on analysis and best practices in adult learning and instructional design. 
  • Communicate with business leaders and stakeholders to project and meet project deadlines.
  • Respond to internal and external requests for information surrounding training programs such as, learning objectives, applicable performance support materials, intended audience, and versions of training and PS content.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Utilize the Xyleme Learning Content Management System to author training and performance support (PS) materials, for content distribution, versioning, and managing reviews.
  • Evaluate training development requests and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Utilize Bloom’s Taxonomy to drive training design and inform learning objectives.
  • Utilize the ADDIE process and UGI documents and processes to complete training requests.
  • Conduct meetings with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Write clearly and concisely while adhering to the UGI style guide.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of instructional design processes, practices, templates, and process documents.
  • Manage the review process of training and PS documents.
  • Utilize video and audio editing software such as Premiere Pro, applications in the Adobe Creative Cloud, MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Share Point, Teams, and Outlook to complete work.

Education and Experience

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Instructional Design, Education, or Graphic Design preferred, or an equivalent of education and formal instructional design experience utilizing the ADDIE or similar process.
  • Minimum of 5 years of job-related experience.
  • Instructional design and/or project management certifications preferred.
