Summary:

 

The Facilities Management Intern will be responsible for reviewing and updating equipment records, preventative maintenance schedules, and preventative maintenance checklists. The Intern will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of equipment data and ensuring all equipment is accounted for in the CMMS.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Organize data to build an accurate database.
  • Communicate and consult with supervisors and managers.
  • Verify accuracy of equipment through field research and verification.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to manage a project to meet scheduled deadlines.
  • Computer skills, MS Excel experience, data entry accuracy, attention to detail, and good communication are key aspects to this position
  • Ability to understand building drawings.
  • Working knowledge of building mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems a plus.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, and working towards a Bachelors’ Degree
  • Valid Driver’s License

 

Working Conditions:

  • Position will be working in mechanical areas, access to roof, exterior grounds, will be on ladders, as well as in the office location during their time on site. All aspects of the building could be accessed while working.
