Summary:

This Supervisory role in our Middletown, Pa office will direct and manage company employees and outside contractors in the safe, relieable, and cost effective installation / maintenance of UGI equipment. This position will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all UGI GOM requirements related to Residential and Commercial Metering equipment, successful completion of PUC mandated equipment replacment programs, and the growth and training of UGI Utility Personnel. This position has a responsibility to work on an On Call / Duty Supervisor Schedule in addition to regular working hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly Supervise UGI and Contractor employees in the safe, reliable installation and maintenance of UGI facilities.
  • Develop and implement cost saving measures within the Utility Dept.
  • Work with employees as a group and individually to develop and enhance skills required to performwork in the most productive and safe manner possible.
  • Complete all required paperwork and computer inputting as required.
  • Respond to and take a leadership role in emergency situations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of construction methods and practices related to the installation, restoration, and maintenance of Measurement and Regulation related gas facilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential.
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office experience. 
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Safe Driving History ( confirmed by driver’s record check) – recent and/or multiple driving violations may disqualify a candidate from employment.

Requirements:

  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license during course of employment. 
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent 
  • 5 plus years of progressive experience in Utility / Customer Service
