Job Summary
Oversees the field execution of UGI’s capital construction projects from authorization to closeout. Acts as UGI’s field representative on the job site to ensure that project milestones are achieved. Collaborates with the project manager and provides updates related to scope, schedule and cost performance on assigned projects. Interfaces with contractors and UGI resources as necessary to meet project requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Field coordination and oversight of construction crews for project completion in accordance with applicable design drawings and company procedures. Coordination and utilization of available company resources to complete a project.
- Technical assistance for development and planning for major projects including route development costing, design, and constructability.
- Completion of project status reports during construction activities and finalizing applicable reporting or transfer of documents following project completion.
- Assist the project manager in the development of schedule and cost updates
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Thorough understanding of gas construction practices, means & methods, company work, environmental and safety practices.
- Ability to read and understand project documents, contracts, engineering drawings and P&IDs.
- Ability to effectively lead, plan, schedule, manage and coordinate daily work activities.
- Excellent Interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced high-pressure environment in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and as a team leader including the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management preferred.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in direct construction, construction management, project management and/or inspection of complex pipeline projects and regulator station construction.
- CAPM, PMP, CCM or equivalent.
