Job Summary

The Administrative Assistant is assigned sales and new business work, primarily involving the administration and use of the information technology systems of the main frame, SAP, and Microsoft programs. This position also preforms local analyst duties, and conversion schedule updates, to support the Sales Department in the completion of its duties and in utilizing budgeted and allocated resources in an effective, efficient, and professional manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support for South Region TSS, GES, ISG, and Sales Management -- administer and audit SAP/DOJM work orders, Design Manager service box placement, Conversion service scheduling assistance, meter set & margin tracking, and New Business permits.  Review and prioritize New Business service backlog with New Business Coordinators and Sales Reps.  Create work orders as requested by TSS, GES, and Relationship Managers.
  • Provide administrative oversight of various Sales/New Business reports and processes: Area Sales reports, data analysis, New Construction (EBO) schedule assistance, FieldBook Updates, CIAC log, weekly service updates, Short Main Extension Support and GET Gas support.
  • Work with Area AOP/AOC work with local municipalities, while working in conjunction with Sales Reps and New Business Coordinators to meet paving schedules for new customers.
  • Provide communications to customers, fielding customer complaints and responding to emails.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Associate Degree in Business, Computer Science, or extensive work-related experience with mainframe, Word Documents, Power Point, Excel, Mapframe, SAP, FieldBook and related PC systems.    
  • In depth knowledge of mainframe system such as but not limited to DOJM, CAD (Dispatching & Drafting), Oracle, and SAP.  Applicable PC hardware and Software.  A fundamental understanding of how these systems interact with the physical aspect of  Business activities and customer additions.
  • The ability to work in a conceptual fashion to develop viable data and information alternative for Area Sales management.

Education and Experience

  • Associate Degree or 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • 3-5 years of work-related experience.
