Job Summary:
Responsible for leading and implementing supply chain strategies and visions incorporated in the services provided by Materials Management in the receipt/storage of parts; material issuing and staging for work orders; inventory management; and delivery services. Accountable for supervising and managing daily warehouse operations, meeting safety, inventory, delivery, and logistics goals and ensuring that organizational and process changes are executed and sustained across all areas of responsibility. This role ensures just-in-time provision of project materials to meet operational needs and provides direct and indirect supervision for the warehouse procedures including 3 remote satellite locations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and Coordinate the physical receipt, storage, and issuance of all materials maintained at the Forty Fort facility of over 700 stock items valued at $1.3 million dollars. Directly supervise 2 bargaining unit employees daily providing leadership and guidance to achieve all company goals. Coordinate all materials needs with engineers, technicians, company and contractor construction personnel. Assist the purchasing effort with quotes and material and service contracts. Maintain 3 remote material storage locations meeting with contractor foreman once a week.
- Properly account for all materials processed through the storeroom. This includes the supervision and coordination of all non stock materials. Non stock materials account for $1.3 million dollars in values. Part of the non stock materials include the transformer inventory consisting of 168 various types of transformers. Supervisor must update and maintain the transformer database for new units and reconditioned units. Arrange for the disposal of scrap, steel, aluminum, and copper wire, and process any checks collected from scrap dealers.
- Requisition and release materials as necessary to fulfill project needs while maintaining inventory levels to a minimum. Update ROP and maxes for each item for reordering. Update and maintain approved manufacturer lists and part numbers. Coordinate material shipments into Forty Fort and remote locations. Resolve all material and receipt discrepancies and approve and evaluate stock counts daily. Monitor key performance indicators as a means to improve and maintain inventory levels.
- Coordinate the testing and replacement of all EUD PPE items. These items include rubber goods, switch sticks, jumpers, grounds, and covers. Maintain and update the EUD PPE database. Order and distribute any pandemic supplies needed. Perform monthly VPP and facility inspections. Coordinate and schedule annual inspections of various warehouse equipment. Supervise all snow removal efforts around the Forty Fort facility including the Linemens area.
- Serve as the storm material coordinator during storm restoration efforts. Stage materials and tools at various locations as standby materials. Distribute materials to foreign construction crews and track all materials issued during storm efforts. Maintain and update storm restoration documents including supplier information annually.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Inventory Management Principles

- Proficient in DOJM, SAP, Microsoft Office Software
- Experience with Material Contracts and Service Contracts
- Experience with Various Warehouse Material Moving Equipment
- Leadership capabilities

Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree Supply Chain Management preferred
- Length of Experience: 2-4 years preferred
