Position Summary:
The Sr Payroll Coordinator is responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, and distribution of payroll via the payroll system. Reviews the computation of pay and ensures the company payroll policies are in accordance with the government regulations and all internal audit requirements are met. Works with the Payroll Coordinator III to ensure all aspects of the payroll are completed timely and accurately.  Assists Payroll Supervisor with special tasks as required.


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Ensures all aspects of payroll processing are addressed timely and accurately.  This includes working with payroll the payroll coordinator to ensure all tasks are being completed so payroll is run efficiently.  
  • Responsible for ensuring all audit and SOX controls are maintained during the payroll process.
  • Works with ECP and Workforce functional support to resolve any Payroll processing issues.  To include assisting with changes needed/requested for union contract changes or business unit needs.
  • Reviews biweekly tax reconciliation for all business units, identifies any tax variances between ECP and ADP.  Provides Payroll Supervisor with audit results and resolution.    
  • Assists Payroll Supervisor with projects as required.        
  • Assists employees with all payroll related questions.  Issues regarding the interpretations of payroll policies and Procedures.
  • Performs other related activities as needed.     
  • Responsible for entering employee changes including wage garnishments, employee tax changes, maintenance and month end reporting requirements.

  • Knowledge of time and attendance system (Workforce Software)
  • Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll


Education:    High school diploma
Length of Experience:    5 years of payroll processing experience
Certifications:    CPP certification is a plus
