Position Summary
The Senior Manager – Major Accounts is responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing programs, procedures and policies to stimulate new revenue growth in the large industrial and commercial (I&C) markets, including initiatives for new technology revenue opportunities. Competitive factors influencing customer decisions in the large I&C market segments are forecasted and analzed by this position. The Senior Manager shall monitor the effectiveness of all department programs which impact sales goals and margin targets. The Senior Manager is also responsible for the preparation of large customer revenue budgets, revenue variance analysis and managing the Major Account customer billing group.         

 

Principal Accountabilities

  • Develop, implement and manage major account team activities to achieve sales goals and meet margin targets applicable to existing and new customers. Develop budgets, forecasts and variance analysis for major account sales and margin.
  • Establish strategic guidelines and goals for contracts and rate negotiations with competitive market customers, including actively managing Rate XD and bypass negotiations.
  • Manage the development and implementation of targeted marketing programs for major accounts including new technology initiatives designed to add customer value and new margin. 
  • Manage Large Customer Billing Group and undertake other related projects.

 

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of the UGI Tariffs and billing, competitive issues, policies for new business, gas and electric supply issues, and general regulatory processes
  • Understanding of new natural gas technologies
  • Able to network both internally and externally to achieve results
  • Independent decision making
  • Creative thinking to assist in the development of promotional programs designed to increase natural gas sales or encourage conversion from other fuels
  • Organizational skills as well as the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering, MBA desirable
