TITLE: Principal SAP PI/PO Developer – CR&B
LOCATION: 1 UGI Drive, Denver, PA 17517
DUTIES:
Responsible for the development, administration, and operational monitoring of the interface and integration points configured in the SAP Process Orchestration (PO) / Process Integration (PI) platform, acting as primary support for the SAP CR&B system and secondary support for the SAP ERP system. Lead complex SAP PI integrations using PI/PO construct technologies in collaboration with business leaders, third-party vendors, and cross-functional teams, including Business Systems Analysts and Business Partners to develop integration specifications. Work closely with analysts to determine optimal interface solutions across all functional areas of the Meter to Cash processing chain. Function as the Integration Lead on large projects and lead multiple concurrent projects involving the design, development, testing, and implementation of programming and application enhancements to meet changing policy, regulatory, and business requirements at UGI. Provide 24x7 primary and/or secondary support for web services, IDocs, B2B file transfers, and other integration methods for interfaces considered core or mission-critical to the business. Collaborate with external vendors to correct issues related to network connectivity, invalid data, and authentication issues. Coordinate maintenance activities which may include release schedules for one or more functional areas. Monitor message queues and workflows for failures and assist Functional resources with the analysis of failures. Support all phases of SDLC by producing required documentation and estimates. Oversee and manage deliverables produced by junior staff. Work with the Basis support team to configure and tune the PO/PI infrastructure for optimal performance. Design and validate the integration architectural approach for proposed solutions based on SAP best practices. Investigate and resolve interface/integration issues caused by factors such as network connectivity, invalid data, and improper authorizations. Configure and support direct file transfers (FTP and SFTP) and leverage encryption and SSH key connectivity. Perform analysis, configuration, and support of IDEX IDoc processing for EDI interfaces, which includes XML, Java and Value mapping. Perform analysis and support with at least one of the following PI/PO construct technologies: ALE, Proxy/RFC, direct JDBC database integration, and REST or SOAP Web Services. Perform analysis and support in ABAP. Participate in full life cycle implementations while serving as the Integrations Lead.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field and 8 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience performing development in the SAP PI/PO platform. Experience must include:
• 8 years of experience investigating and resolving interface/integration issues caused by factors such as network connectivity, invalid data, and improper authorizations.
• 8 years of experience configuring and supporting direct file transfers (FTP and SFTP) and leveraging encryption and SSH key connectivity.
• 6 years of experience performing analysis, configuration, and support of IDEX IDoc processing for EDI interfaces, which includes XML, Java and Value mapping.
• 6 years of experience performing analysis and support with at least one of the following PI/PO construct technologies: ALE, Proxy/RFC, direct JDBC database integration, and REST or SOAP Web Services
• 2 years of experience performing analysis and support in ABAP.
• Experience with at least 2 full life cycle implementations while serving as the Integrations Lead.
